out loud and on purpose: i'm making a website?

Writing this while I’m putting off figuring the 'actual' structure for the site, which feels pretty classic.

Also posting into an active construction zone, which is fun.

I'm setting up my own space on the internet (if you’re reading this, I was at least partly successful in that) because I’m not social enough for social media and am also past due for some void shouting.

In some ways all of this is an exercise in earnestness, trying to enjoy things out loud and on purpose and not thinking too hard about the mortifying ordeal of being known, etc. I make some stuff sometimes, I think a whole bunch the rest of the time, and I share next to none of it because sharing is too much like Posting, and Posting is when you stand inside one of your thoughts and open a door to the entire internet and let them do what they like with what they find inside. It’s a lot. (I’m very normal about this.)

Anyway, here's a heads up about things that might end up here.

a list that is not a sitemap and instead is just generally kind of aspirational:

• Posts? I guess so. Things like this, that are words in a somewhat conversational tone that go on a page and then maybe someone reads them. Like ‘here’s what I think about this album’ or ‘I tried to do a project and the project won (again)’.
• Also sometimes I write fiction (and every few years I try to write poetry, but end up deleting it) so that could live here too.
• OC’s? To be cringe is to be free or whatever, so at some point I’m just going to set up little pages about my favourite children. Also, a not-insignificant influence that led to me making a website in the first place was that I wanted a Toyhou.se of my own.
• RPG things? Probably. As someone who has made at least one game, I am at a high risk of making at least one more before the sun burns out. Also I have been on a journey with worldbuilding via epic spells, and it would be fun to style that. That, and the occasional solo game log? Who knows.
